blog recipe #31 of 365

Hello everyone 8)
Im not sure how much you know about milk, but for me knowing how much I know about milk, I know that it is not good for you, your little ones, or health in general! This is one of my most favorite debats 8) It is just aweful with the media, and the influences growing up how mislead we have been.  A study that I read said that one of the leading causes of osteoporosis in the elderly was milk!!! scary!! There is also studies to support milk causing an abundance of health concerns such as: obesity, diabetes, intestinal irritations, cancer, allergies in infants and seriously the list doesnt stop!  If you think about it logically, cows milk is suppose to grow a caff into a cow......A great article for more information: http://notmilk.com/kradjian.html
However it is difficult to avoid, especially in our favorite comfort dishes, and baked goods.  So why not try Almond Milk!!! This is a recipe to help make it as clean and fresh with the least amount of ingredients!  It is very high in protein (31g/cup), omegas (76g/cup), and yes calcium (342mg/cup)......Don't worry too much about calcium intake if your eating your veggies!! you'll find lots of calcium in foods like broccoli, spinach, kale ect.
This recipe is gluten free, dairy free, and paleo approved 8)
